Just so Thankful

This time of year is a good time to think about what we
are thankful for.
*First, my family...a husband that works hard
and provides for his family, he is my best friend, Eleven years and
I love him more then I ever have.
*Our kids, I'm so blessed that God gave them to us.
They are the perfect mix between Wade and I.
Their laughs melt my heart and their cries break it.
What would I ever do without them?
*Our Health, besides the common cold we don't get sick very often.
*Our Home, I love where we live! no one could have
better neighbors, we could never move unless they came with us.
And to look out our front door and see nothing but field and
mountains is the perfect place for us.
*My job, I love what I do! I love the people I work with.
I'm excited to go to work! The people I
have met through the years mean so much to me.
I'm so lucky for all that I have. And I thank God everyday
for it! What are you thankful for?

Witches tea

I love this time of the year! People always seem to get
together more often just to have fun. And I was lucky
enough to go to the witches tea this year, What is
witches tea? A dinner where witches (good and bad)
can sit down have dinner, laugh, tell stories and relax.
Kristy was a great hosts. The food was so good!
especially the tea. She went to so much work, the
fruit was in little pumpkins carved out of oranges!
I had a great time and so did all the other witches,
I hope I get an invitation next year!

This is the little pumpkin, how cool is that!?!?

Stacy and Ginger were morning witches

I was seventy's witch and Amanda was disco witch

Stacy was so funny, I couldn't stop laughing at her!

Tate's birthday

Six years ago our life changed!! God gave us
this amazing little boy. And now we don't know
what we ever did without him. He is a good helper,
and is very lovey, you can always get a hug out of Tate.
But his true love is farming. He wants to be a farmer when
he grows up. Any one that knows him, knows he is a
John Deere boy! We love him so much.
Happy Birthday Tate!

fall craft

One of the best things about fall is the decorating!
And it doesn't cost much to make your home beautiful.
I always like fall leaves on my table. I usually put them
in a vase, but this year a wanted to do something different.
So I bought a little straw bale from a craft store, took a ride
up the canyon, and five minuets later I have a great center piece
for my table.
But now we will have to see if my kids leave it alone:)

Tomato Fever

YEAH BABY!!!!!!
This year has been a great year for my tomato's.
I usually don't get good tomato's, but this year I tried
something new with them..... don't water them as much.
(It makes them ripen faster)
About everyday I pick this many! So what to do with
all these tomato's? I bottle tomato's juice and sauce. I also
do salsa.
I love to see all my hard work in the garden is paying off!

It's been a year

A year ago from today I got bucked off my horse.
I was with my sister and her daughter Madison.
I wasn't on my horse 5 seconds and I was out of control.
I went up over her head and landed on the road. It hit
my head, broke ribs that put a hole in my lung and collapsed it.
Also hurt my hip. I was in the hospital for five days.
I loved my horse, I always wanted a buckskin. But she was
not a very good horse, I had had Soda for a little over a year when
this happened. Nobody liked her and I was the only person that
would ride her. About two weeks after my accident Soda was sold.
Tate told her good riddens.
I didn't know if I would ever get a horse again. But this spring I got
Rugar. And we have had a great summer! He is a good horse.
If you fall off, you got it get back on.
This is Soda right after I bought her

Fair

Once again it was fair time!
I love to be at the fair. I showed when
I was little, so it's fun to see my kids there
getting into it as much as I did. This is the
second year that Tate has shown in the Jr.
sheep show. This year the sheep's name was
Tinker Bell. He did great! got a blue ribbon with
some money! And of course he always has to have
his John Deere on with his lucky hat!

At the end of July my little girl turned 3.
I can't believe that three years have went by already.
She is so amazing, she has brought such a light into our
home. She is funny, outgoing, energetic and such a girl.
She loves anything pink or frilly. She is our candy monster,
we can't have candy around the house because you will find
her at 2:00 am eating candy! She loves to play with the
neighbors and her cousins. We are so blessed to have her
in our family. I love you so much, little Libby.

Haulin' Hay

Every year for as long as I can remember we have hauled hay.
But I have never thought of it as work! Probably because I always
drove the tractor, but now that I'm old enough and able I have to
help throw bales on the trailer. Easy enough right... no, on top of
it I have hay fever!! When I touch the hay I break out in hives,
my eyes itch, I cough and I can't breathe! And I'm not the only one
I have two brothers with the same thing and my mom has it too.
And now we have found out Tate also has it!!! So you really can't
complain when there are others working hard, and as sick as you.
But I still love getting up there and seeing my kids have fun
just like I did when I was there age. And showing them
hard work. The summer has just begun, there is more
hay to be cut and bailed and there is nothing better
then looking over a empty field, and the barn is full.

My dad with the little girls! They are not much help:)

my new horse

This is my new horse RUGAR
I got him in April, but I have been waiting to put up pics
of him until we went on a good ride, but the rain all
spring has made it hard to get out and ride, so this is as
good as it gets. Anyway I have been looking for a horse
for awhile and Gwen Summers has been nice enough to go
with me to help me pick out a good one this time. I didn't have
to look far, my cousin was moving to Montana and needed to
sale all of there animals. So I went and test rode him. Right from
the start I felt comfortable with him. So I bought him with one
stipulation from Wade and Gwen; I would put him with a trainer
for a month. So I put him with Jennifer Austin, she works out of
Smithfield. She taught me so much, and gave me a lot of confidence
that I lost last Aug.
I got him back June 1st, just in time for the rain!
So hopefully I will have some great pics of us up in the mountains soon.

Getting ready to ride with Jennifer

I have never had a horse that will just stand there
while you put on the saddle. It is so cool!

Little Libby

I love this time of the year! The flowers
in my yard look so good and the weeds haven't
shown there ugly little head yet :) These are
my Iris that I got from my uncle Paul. He yelled
at me the other day because I bought columbine.
So from now on I will do my flower shopping in
his yard. Free of charge I hope :)
And what can make a flower even better?
my little Libby. It was hard trying to get her
to sit long enough to take these pics, but she
always makes me proud!

Soooo tired

Libby just can't handle warm weather! We spent all
day outside, planting, mowing, tilling, playing, just plain
running. We were loving that the sun was out and
that it was warm enough to be outside.
That night we got Libby in the tub and feed her
dinner. As I came out to put her to bed this is
how I found her. Looks like she beat me to it!

Soccer rocks!!!

Tate's first soccer season. What a great first year of
soccer, It was a blast! Tate had a lot of fun, and so did
we. Tate did great and even managed to make some goals.
I have come to realize I'm one of the loud obnoxious
parents on the side lines just wishing I could get in
there and show these five year olds how its done!
So I'm sorry, to anyone who could not hear anything
over me screaming to get the ball. I'm sad to see soccer
be over. I'm afraid T-ball isn't this fun.

BED BEARS

We have a problem in our home. Kids sleeping in there
own bed!! So last Saturday night I was scrap booking and
complaining about my family sleep habits, when a lady
told me what she did in her family that worked. Bed Bears
The kids get there own container and when they sleep all
night in there bed they get a bed bear. Each bed bear is
worth $1 at the end of the month they count there bears
and they can get whatever they want with there bed bear
money. But if they come into mom and dad's room they get
a bear taken away. So we decided to try it, Tate is doing great!
Libby gets a bear, gets a bear taken away, gets a bear, gets a bear
taken away. Every morning they wake up excited to see if they get
a bed bear. I can't wait till the end of the month, I think it
will sink in even more when they get to buy something they want.

I got the bears at The Book Table

I let them decorate there container.
Wish us luck.
I just want to sleep through the night!!!!!!!

Easter fun!

What a weekend!! It started with the Paradise
Easter egg hunt. All was going good until the bunny
catch. (This is were the kids case bunny's and if you
catch one its yours.) Tate caught a bunny it was just
in the wrong age group, so we had to give it back.
(Mean mom!!) So we went up to grandpa's to look at
the baby lambs, that made us feel better.
Then Sunday while we were at church the Easter Bunny
came and gave us a tramp! so now we have one of our own.
In the afternoon we went up to the barn in Avon for
another egg hunt. It was great all the Riggs cousins were
there. It was so nice and warm we had a blast!!
